About Miosotys Santiago

I am Miosotys Santiago—author, speaker, community advocate, mentor, and founder of Exemplify to Edify, LLC. At the heart of everything I do is a desire to help people recognize that their experiences do not have to define their ending. I believe our pain, when surrendered, healed, and given purpose, can become part of how we serve and empower others.

My own journey has been shaped by perseverance, faith, motherhood, loss, healing, and survival—including surviving the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Those experiences became part of the foundation for my memoir, God’s Diamond, where I share my story of childhood trauma, teenage motherhood, abuse, mental health struggles, faith, loss, and ultimately discovering purpose through some of life's most difficult seasons.

In 2019, I founded Exemplify to Edify, LLC with a mission to create opportunities for healing, education, empowerment, and community connection. Through speaking engagements, workshops, mentoring, writing, community outreach, and faith-centered conversations, I encourage women, youth, families, and communities to examine where they have been while believing they can still become who they were created to be.

My professional and educational journey has also strengthened my passion for advocacy and service. As a Social Work student and Mental Health First Aid Responder, I am especially passionate about mental health awareness, trauma-informed conversations, women's empowerment, youth development, caregiving, community outreach, and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

I don't share my story because every chapter was easy. I share it because someone else may need proof that a difficult chapter doesn't have to be the final chapter.

My mission is simple: Exemplify through the way I live, and Edify through the way I serve.
